Our Client
We are working with a rapidly growing firm that has already grown to over 100 team members in just over a year and continues to scale. The company partners with a wide range of clients to deliver modern, cloud-based data solutions. What sets this business apart is its thoughtful team structure. Engineers are supported by Engagement Leads who take the lead on client interactions, allowing technical specialists to focus on doing great work behind the scenes. This is an ideal environment for individuals who are highly intelligent, possibly still building confidence in customer-facing scenarios, and motivated by technical depth rather than showmanship.
The Role
This opportunity is suited to a Data Engineer with two to seven years of experience. You will work on projects involving cloud data warehouse design, data migration, analytics enablement and data optimisation. Common technologies include Snowflake, DBT, and GCP, although experience with AWS or Azure is also highly regarded. Strong SQL skills are essential. You will develop ELT pipelines, build and maintain scalable data models, and collaborate with analysts and data scientists to ensure the reliability and usability of data platforms. With client communication handled by the Engagement Lead, you will be able to focus deeply on engineering delivery.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will contribute to all aspects of data engineering including cloud platform design, performance tuning, system modernisation and documentation. You will work with leading tools in cloud and data infrastructure and stay across the latest developments in data engineering practices. You will play an important role in building the foundation that allows clients to make informed, data-driven decisions.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking someone who knows their stuff, curious and practical. You will need two to seven years of experience in data engineering, with proven capability in SQL, DBT and Snowflake. Familiarity with at least one cloud platform is essential, with GCP experience preferred. You should be comfortable working in delivery squads and be open to continuous learning and improvement.
