We are partnering with a global consultancy known for delivering end-to-end enterprise technology solutions and large-scale digital transformation programs. As they expand their SAP advisory and delivery practice across the Asia Pacific region, they are seeking a Senior SAP Business Consultant to take a lead role in driving large SAP transformation deals. This opportunity can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
Role Overview
In this strategic position, you will act as the Opportunity Owner for major SAP initiatives across a select portfolio of large enterprise clients. Your role will be to qualify and lead SAP opportunities from early identification through to deal closure, collaborating closely with client executives, internal solution architects, and external partners including SAP. You will run workshops to understand business challenges, architect tailored SAP solutions, and develop compelling value propositions that address client objectives and constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Own large full-stack SAP opportunities across the sales lifecycle
- Lead deal qualification and sales strategy development
- Run client workshops to understand business pain points and transformation goals
- Design SAP solutions with measurable outcomes, aligned to client budgets
- Collaborate with internal delivery, proposal, infrastructure, and cloud teams
- Ensure integration feasibility with CRM, HRM, analytics, and other enterprise systems
- Address infrastructure and disaster recovery requirements for large SAP programs
- Build strong relationships with SAP alliance partners and regional stakeholders
- Lead the development and presentation of client proposals
- Guide commercial negotiations and contract finalisation
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for individuals who bring the technical credibility of an SAP solution architect with the commercial mindset of a consultative sales leader. You will have deep experience across SAP presales, delivery, and managed services, and a proven ability to lead long-cycle, high-value SAP deals. You should be comfortable navigating complex client environments and engaging at both technical and executive levels. You will also be expected to have aligned experience to the following:
- 15+ years in ERP and SAP consulting and solution sales
- 10+ years owning and closing large SAP opportunities
- End-to-end delivery experience on at least one full lifecycle SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration valued at USD 10M+
- Deep knowledge of S/4HANA and exposure to products such as SCM, SuccessFactors, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Cloud Platforms, and industry-specific SAP modules
- Expertise in integrating SAP with enterprise systems (CRM, HRM, analytics)
- Experience across multiple industries including mining, manufacturing, pharma, retail, and healthcare
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure supporting SAP deployments
- Commercial acumen in building cost-optimised, scalable solutions
- Demonstrated success in working within the ANZ region

Qualifications
